Development of Slovenia Control, Slovenian Air Navigation Services, Limited
Development of the company is oriented towards the fulfilment of two main objectives: ensuring safe air navigation services in a financially effective manner and the permeability of airspace.
The company's most important objective is ensuring safety. In accordance with the ATM strategy 2000+ our development policy includes reducing the absolute number of incidents with a direct impact on air navigation services in relation to a planned increase in air traffic in the future, in a financially effective way.
Slovenia Control, Slovenian Air Navigation Services, Limited will ensure the permeability of airspace by developing a system for air traffic management and control, which will enable an increase in the total number of aircraft movements in Slovenian airspace in all flight phases. In addition, Slovenia Control, Slovenian Air Navigation Services, Limited will also increase the capacity of Slovenian airspace regarding the most number of aircraft movements per hour and will ensure the optimal average delay per flight.
One of the company's major tasks is the modernisation of the current infrastructure and the air traffic management and control systems, with which the demands of new European regulations will be met and the greater capacity of airspace, which is required will be achieved.
The development policies for the next few years include the construction of a new Air Traffic Control Complex with office space, the construction of a control tower at the Jože Pučnik Airport, Ljubljana and the upgrade, replacement and expansion of individual air traffic management and control systems and at the same time the modernisation of radar, radio-navigational and communication infrastructure and as a result of this flight procedures.
Realisation of the development policies also means maintaining the certificate of qualification for performing air navigation services in the Republic of Slovenia, which we had obtained in 2006.Besides this we would like to preserve the European level of security, ensure high quality in performing services, further educate and qualify company staff and achieve the goals set in the five year strategic business plan and in the annual business plans.
The new Air Traffic Control Complex together with modernised systems for air traffic management and control, communication, navigation and monitoring will enable Slovenia Control, Slovenian Air Navigation Services, Limited to handle the ever growing dense traffic and will manage its services in a strategic and financially effective manner, whereby safety will still remain ranked as no.1 priority.

The activity at Slovenia Control, Slovenian Air Navigation Services, Limited is performing air navigation services for air traffic control services, flight data services and flight telecommunication services.We especially assign the greatest care towards air traffic safety, quality in performing services, adaptability towards customers using our services and cost effectiveness.
Mission
To perform air navigation services with the Single European Sky certificate, defined to ensure safe, quality and cost effective air navigation services with in Slovenian airspace and abroad when necessary.
To be prepared in ensuring air navigation services as an active partner within the functional airspace blocks in our area.
The mission shall exercise highly qualified, motivated and appropriately remunerated staff.

With the assistance of highly qualified and appropriately remunerated experts, we are constantly striving to attain excellence in ensuring safe, cost effective and quality air navigation services in Slovenian airspace and abroad when necessary to the satisfaction of our customers.
In co-operation with business and institutional partners we are trying hard to implement the Single European Sky.
International Co-operation
On the international scale, Slovenia Control, Slovenian Air Navigation Services, Limited is actively co-operating in the development of the anticipated transformation of the airspace in our region in accordance with the EU Single European Sky regulation within the FAB CE project.
The incorporation of Slovenian airspace into the Central European Functional Airspace Block (FAB CE) and acquiring an active role in performing services in FAB are important strategic goals, which is why active co-operation in representing Slovenia regarding the formation of FAB in the region will continue to intensify.
In addition to the activities regarding the formation of the Functional Airspace Block, by participating at international conferences Slovenia Control, Slovenian Air Navigation Services, Limited actively co-operates in EUROCONTROL and ICAO in all areas, which relate to the company's activity and with CANSO and ATCA on their behalf.
Besides this the company is going to incorporate itself more actively into the SESAR program, which is intended for the formulation of technical and technological solutions for air traffic management.
